CHAPMANVILLE - The Guyandotte Players has announced that their seventh moving picture will be "Steel Magnolias" by Robert Harling. The put on will be performed as a dinner theater at the Logan Country Club in Chapmanville on Fri., and Sat., May 9-10, beginning with dinner at 6:45 p.m. Set in the 1980s in Chinquapin, La., "Steel Magnolias" tells the outline of six southern women whose lives intertwine at Truvy's Beauty Salon.

The show is filled with entertaining repartee and then moves toward blow when, in the b act, the spunky Shelby (who is a diabetic) risks her brio to become a mother.
